Rancho Bernardo, CA - October 5,
2008 - Would the world be a better place if it were ruled by
women?" That was the impromptu question, fielded by Ron Gross, a
member of Rancho Bernardo Toastmasters, one of the two of its top
speakers representing the club in the District 5-Area 25 Table
Topics & Humorous speech competition Oct 2nd.
His excellent response contained the line, "I don't know, but I'm
willing to find out." In the prepared speech portion of the program,
Rob Sudman, dressed as a cowboy with country music as inspiration,
quoted his "pappy" who used to say, "Sometimes you're the hammer,
sometimes you're the nail, but you will never know when Murphy's law
will substitute your thumb for that nail." Each man took home a
trophy.
