Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests

Rancho Bernardo, CA - October 5, 2008 - Would the world be a better place if it were ruled by women?" That was the impromptu question, fielded by Ron Gross, a member of Rancho Bernardo Toastmasters, one of the two of its top speakers representing the club in the District 5-Area 25 Table Topics & Humorous speech competition Oct 2nd.
His excellent response contained the line, "I don't know, but I'm willing to find out." In the prepared speech portion of the program, Rob Sudman, dressed as a cowboy with country music as inspiration, quoted his "pappy" who used to say, "Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes you're the nail, but you will never know when Murphy's law will substitute your thumb for that nail." Each man took home a trophy.

Rancho Bernardo Toastmasters welcomes you to join their lively club which meets every Thursday morning at 7 AM at Gateway, 12751 Gateway Park Rd, Poway, near Pomerado Hospital. For more information look on the RB
